Prince2:2009 - My New Primer Toolkit!

 I've just given birth....to my Brand New LIMITED EDITION Prince2:2009 Primer. I started work on it back in April this year, knowing that the new Prince2:2009 Manual was to be released around mid June.

My new LIMITED EDITION Primer has been designed based on the many glowing reports of the original Primer. In response, I've gone into full detail on the slides, ending up with 320 animated foils, which I used to record over 20 hours of step-by-step full motion video tutorial in the form of 16 Modules..

There's no padding, no fill, just clear, concise tutorials on every corner of the new Manual. I leave no stone unturned.

But I didn't stop there. I created a massive 200-question QUIZ based on the Foundation exam questions, and 20 in-depth exercises to test the students understanding of key Prince2:2009 aspects. As before, I've created a Workbook for each of the Modules containing full colour graphics of every single slide.

As I write this, my WebMaster, Nick has just finished setting up the shopping cart and download facility for the entire Toolkit. I've got a VERY special discount price for the first 100 folks who invest....

Breaking News!

World-wide Accredited Training Organisation SNAP-TECH are to use my Prince2 Primer as part of their official training materials for their Prince2 Practitioner courses. I am currently drawing up a partnership agreement and intend to launch within the next month or so. CEO's Guy and Wendy Eastoe are to distribute my Prince2 Primer as part of their delegate's course preparation materials.

My Primer will be further developed during this year to become an APM Group Accredited CBT Learning product. We are also developing a similar product for those wishing to prepare for the APMP project management professional exam. Keep an eye out for my http://www.apmp-primer.com website

New Prince2: 2009 Primer

My Brand New Prince2: 2009 Primer is just weeks away from being released and Boy! am I excited..

I've finished creating a massive 320 full-colour PowerPoint Slides and I am halfway through recording the full-motion videos.

It will be the most comprehensive online Prince2 training product on the internet.

There are thousands of folks who have already passed Prince2 and are due to take the Re-Registration Exam in order to keep their Accredited status. My Primer will enable them to build their knowledge to Practitioner level without the need for expensive re-training courses.

Product Based Planning (PBP) is used within the Planning Process (PL2). And the Planning Process is used whenever a “real” Plan is needed – these are: 

  1. Project Plan
  2. Stage Plan
  3. Optional Team Plan
  4. Exception Plan if needed

All other plans are really strategies (Project Quality Plan, Configuration Management Plan, Communication Plan) The Post Project Review Plan does not need PBP as it is just a schedule, measurements, and resources showing how the Business Case benefits are to be measured, tracked, and eventually realized.

Project Management Training

Welcome to all things Project Management!

I want to bring YOU the best information, products, techniques, and good ideas to do with either managing the projects themselves - or the human art of project management.

I started out as a professional engineer and moved into project management in my late twenties. So I have a quarter of a century of experience in that field.

Of course, that doesn't make me automatically an "expert" - but it does give me a wealth of stuff that can help you "Fast-Track" and get good - in a fraction of the time that it took me!

Taking the World View, I would say that project management is split into two camps - Europe and the USA. that's not to discount other countries - far from it, but to acknowledge the main sources of "Bodies of Knowledge" (BoK).

PRINCE®, which stands for Projects in Controlled Environments, is a project management method covering the organisation, management and control of projects. PRINCE® was first developed by the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA), now part of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), in 1989 as a UK Government standard for IT project management.
